UNGOVERNED TRANSFORMATION, CONSTRUCTED IMPROVISATIONS
A collaborative music and photography series created remotely in response to the global pandemic, this Oh Yeah Cool series features improvisational music by artist Ben O’Neill, presented with images from photographers currently living in Manhattan, Jersey City, and Philadelphia. The photographs tell stories of the vacillating emotional states caused by Covid-19, including photos from March 2020, just as the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic.
TINY DESK
I’ve been entering this contest with Ben O’Neill over the past six years, and Jenny Florinicia for two. Below are the entries I directed for Tiny Desk 2014-2019.
higher self —Jenny florinicia
I’m currently producing and art directing this full length record to release Spring 2020. We’re recording at WRTI Studios in Philadelphia, PA, with Engineer and co-producer is Tyler McClure of AClass Productions.
SALT — BEN O’NEILL
Themes of the 1860s interlacing with existential trials and joys of modern life reverberate from Salt. Carrying this spirit throughout the associated art was paramount. Collaborating with Ben I lead the creative direction from album art to promotions.
songwriter series
The intention behind this year-long Songwriter Series was to deeply examine twelve songs fundamental to the American music experience. We recorded each video live at locations such at C Blake Studios, The Caplan, and JMoTone Studios.
You can stream the individual covers on Ben’s Soundcloud.
ODE TO OMNI
This Philadelphia band lead by Marcus Myers arranged "Superstition", by Stevie Wonder, to coincide with the release of their record Perception. We recorded live and filmed at MSound Studios in Philadelphia, PA.
